My name is Colin McGuire, and I am a high school student in Cincinnati, Ohio, and I will graduate in 2024. In college, I want to study engineering, like many others in my family. Additionally, I play varsity baseball for my school, and for a summer select team. I enjoy watching sports, such as the MLB and the NBA. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and listening to music. I am also extremely active in Young Life at my high school and hope to remain active as a leader through college.
Why I Am Doing This
I have always wanted to do my part to make a change in the world, but never knew how I would do it. In 2022, I joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society team at my school, and personally raised over $43,000 for cancer research. It amazed me how I was able to help so many people. Since then, I have done a variety of different fundraisers for those in need. For example, I helped raise money for my aunt when she visited Africa to feed people with rice (a staple of the African diet). Now, I have decided to make a website where I will run all of my fundraising campaigns. I am hopeful that my fundraising will be helpful to many, and I plan to work with my mom and her social media reach for maximum impact.
